What You’ll Do

In this position, you will play a key role in leveraging data to extract valuable insights and contribute to the developing and implementing state-of-the-art AI models and algorithms.

The ideal candidate will have a strong foundation in machine learning , with the ability to bridge the gap between analytical thinking and practical implementation. Collaborating closely with our diverse and dynamic team of software developers, product managers and learning specialists, you will have the opportunity to conduct cutting-edge research design and deploy AI solutions that drive our innovative products.

Key responsibilities

• Data Exploration and Analysis: Analyse large, complex datasets to uncover meaningful patterns, trends, and insights. Collaborate with stakeholders to understand business requirements and formulate data-driven solutions.
• Author specs for new features and improvement.
• Modelling: Design and develop AI models to address business challenges. Train and fine-tune AI models using various techniques, including deep learning, reinforcement learning, evolutionary algorithms and generative models to generate text, images, or videos.
• Evaluation and Optimization:Evaluate and validate the performance of AI models through rigorous testing and experimentation using appropriate metrics. Iterate on models to improve accuracy, efficiency, and scalability. .
• Deployment and Integration: work in collaboration with software engineers to seamlessly integrate AI models into production systems, ensuring scalability and efficiency.
• Documentation and Communication: Document the AI workflow, including data collection, preprocessing, model development, and deployment. Communicate findings and results to both technical and non-technical stakeholders.
• AI Upskilling: Share AI knowledge and expertise with the wider product development team, providing training sessions and resources to upskill team members in AI technologies.
• Balance researching new technologies with a practical approach to accomplish the research efforts into the Thrive products.
• Communicate with the industry and communities where applicable and be an ambassador for Thrive.

What we’re looking for

Essential skills

• Masters or Doctorate degree in Computer Science, Machine Learning; Mathematics; or a closely aligned field with
  • Proven experience in developing and deploying AI/ML solutions.
  • Solid understanding of machine learning algorithms.
  • Proficiency in Python programming languages and ability to produce robust proof-of-concept code
  • Professional experience with, Natural Language Processing, LLMs and big-scale models
  • Proficiency with machine learning libraries/frameworks such as Hugging face, TensorFlow, Keras, Torch/PyTorch.
  • Knowledge of AI protocols and standards
  • Solid understanding of data structures
• Familiarity with MLOps, software development practices and version control systems.
• Excellent communication skills, with the ability to explain complex technical concepts to both technical and non-technical audiences.
• Proven ability to work collaboratively in cross-functional teams.
• Proven ability to work independently and lead projects.
• Strong problem-solving skills
• Ability to think creatively and propose innovative solutions.
• Ability to adapt to evolving technology and business requirements.

Desirable skills

• Experience with AWS cloud platform and cloud computing is a plus.
• Understanding of Graph Databases

• Prior exposure to workplace learning technology or related fields and an understanding of the unique challenges and opportunities in this domain.

• Experience working within a R&D or innovation-focused team, contributing to the exploration of unconventional ideas and breakthrough innovations.
